Free Wordpress theme Audry release

Audry is a thematic based child theme. PSD template design by PSDthemes.com.You can view a demo or download it here and have fun!

How to use

Upload Thematic parent theme and Audry child theme, enable Audry child theme
Create a custom field called “article_image” and input the image url, the article image will be displayed on home page
Create a category for feature articles on homepage, open home.php locate this line

Change “19″ to your category id number.
The black board area is for page menu, as the board height is not dynamic there is only limited number of pages can be displayed
The widget area “subsidary” is located at the bottom of the page, due to the paper texture design the height of the footer is not dynamic. When you use this widget area please make sure the content you try to display does not exceed the limit (100px).
The twitter user name will have to be edited.
- Locate this line in the theme

- change “username” to your twitter account name

Free eBooks Give Out

Here I have a couple of free eBooks to share with designers and design lovers.They are both free for distribution, so you might have found them somewhere else. Personally I found these two books are particularly useful.

The first one is Time management for creative people by Mark McGuinness. I sometimes find myself browsing the internet, trying to find some inspiration at first; then end up on a forum chatting with other people. I m sure we all have wasted time without even realizing it. This book will give you some help.

The second one is Web designer’s sucess guide by kevin airgid. Every industry has its secrets. I found a lot of inspiration from this book. Also guys, don’t forget to pay the authors a visit!

I am currently working on the premium version of Design-Notes theme. Features including custom made widgets, plugins and theme options. The premium version will be released in the begining of next month. Have fun with this version for now!!
